Dr Rachel Smith

Dr Rachel Smith

Rachel Smith is a Specialist Orthodontist. She qualified as a dentist in New Zealand and gained her three-year Doctorate in Orthodontics from the University of Melbourne. She has worked in private orthodontic practices in Melbourne, Oxford and, most recently, in the exclusive London Harley Street area.

Rachel has recently returned to New Zealand to establish Eden Orthodontics to provide the latest developments in orthodontic treatment. She brings significant experience and expertise to the practice in the use of Invisalign, invisible cosmetic braces, including the Incognito Lingual Appliances, and the latest clear ceramic orthodontic systems. These treatment options fit with her special interests in both child and adult orthodontics, including complex multi-disciplinary cases.

Rachel holds professional memberships with the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists, New Zealand Dental Association and the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). She is a regular attendee and speaker at both local and international orthodontic conferences. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys running, cycling, yoga and spending time with her family.

Tara is our both our Treatment Coordinator and Practice Manager here at Eden Orthodontics. She has many years’ experience in account management and customer service.

Tara has been working with Dr Smith since the inception of Eden Orthodontics and is loving spending time in the practice, meeting and building relationships with our patients. Tara lives locally in Mt Eden with her husband and 2 children. Outside of work, if she’s not powering up the mountain she’s spending time on her yoga mat.

Dr Rachel Smith

Jennifer is an Australian girl at heart but since a New Zealand guy stole hers, she's calling Auckland home. Leaving Melbourne with her qualification and 4 years of orthodontic nursing experience, she was fortunate enough to join Dr Smith’s team. The best thing Jennifer likes about orthodontics is patients’ completing treatment and seeing for the first time their brand new smile and the confidence it gives them. She was fortunate enough to have experienced this herself when she had braces for 20 months. Apart from working in a fantastic team and work environment she loves travelling, skiing, coffee, dining out and the gym!
