Business Development Manager / Treatment Coordinator
Tara is both our Business Development Manager and Treatment Coordinator here at Eden Orthodontics. She has many years’ experience in account management, marketing, sales and customer service.
Tara has been working with Dr Smith since the inception of Eden Orthodontics and is loving spending time in the practice: meeting and building relationships with our patients and suppliers and of course seeing new smiles being created.
Tara lives locally in Mt Eden with her 2 children and her dog Bailey who you might meet in the practice from time to time. Outside of work, if she’s not powering up the mountain, she’s spending time on her yoga mat.
Clinic Team Leader / Orthodontic Auxiliary
While Jenn is Australian born and bred she now calls Auckland home and shares her life here with her Kiwi man. Jennifer has been in orthodontics since 2012 and has been part of Dr Smith’s dream team since 2015. Jenn qualified as an Orthodontic Auxiliary in 2019 and now leads our clinical team.
When Jenn is not in the practice, you will find her enjoying a cup of coffee, listening to music, lifting weights or planning her next trip around the world (virtually at the moment of course!).
Karen’s Oral Health career began with a Dental Therapy degree from Auckland University of Technology. Shortly after graduation, she left NZ for her birthplace Hong Kong, and was introduced to the world of Orthodontics working with a US trained Orthodontist.
Karen retuned to NZ in 2015, worked for the School Dental Service (ARDS) and came back to Orthodontics in 2017 joining us at Eden Orthodontics. Karen qualified as an Orthodontic Auxiliary in 2018 and works alongside Dr Smith delivering expert orthodontic care. Karen is a kiwi chick with strong ties to Hongkong. She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
In Karen’s spare time, you will find her working out in the local Crossfit box in Epsom, spending time with her family and baking treats for friends and family.
Originally from Zimbabwe but really a Kiwi girl, Stacey joined the team in 2019 from Ponsonby Children’s Dental Service. She spent 5 years there and has just completed her Dental Assistant training. We are thrilled to have her here to support our Auxiliaries and Rachel and to develop further professionally.
Stacey is our environmental champion encouraging us to reduce, reuse or recycle at home and at work! You may also find her SUP-ing in St Heliers, or at the gym keeping strong. She has 2 beautiful dogs, Ice and Noodles who keep her busy and entertained at home.
Jasmine is our creative. Her talent is put to good use here. Her potential to join our team was spotted during her New Patient consultation here and she came on board to work in the clinic for our busy end of year. She fitted in so well we convinced her to stay permanently and she is now training to become a Dental Assistant.
Jasmine loves the direction her decision has taken her. She is able to combine her creative talent with her clinical role here. When Jasmine is not at work she is hanging out with friends and family including her beloved dog, Allie.
Jennifer decided towards the middle of 2020 to look at a career change that brought her from the childcare industry to Eden Orthodontics. We are so pleased she took this directional change as she has quickly become an indispensable member of the Eden Orthodontics team. She fits in so well with her dry sense of humour, ability to multi-task and to learn quickly. She is thriving and is now training in Dental Assisting.
Jennifer lives in West Auckland with her husband and 3 children and when she is not at work she loves travelling, especially exploring New Zealand in the family caravan. She also loves getting out on the water: fishing, boating and other water sports.
Head of Reception
It’s hard to find great people but we have found a gem here! Talore was looking for a change from her previous role and chose Eden Orthodontics. Smart, capable and so friendly she is the perfect lead for our front of house team and director of first impressions.
Although she is new to the health industry Talore is enjoying learning about orthodontics and meeting our amazing patients. She is at the office most days, so her precious spare time is spent with her partner, family and friends. She loves going to concerts and can also be found enjoying one of Auckland’s many eateries!
Rebekah is our fabulous Receptionist here at Eden Orthodontics and a key member of the welcoming committee. She is new to the orthodontic industry and came to us with a strong customer service background. Rebekah has loved getting to know all about orthodontics and meeting our patients and families.
Rebekah lives locally, enjoys exploring the beautiful beaches and bush walks that Auckland has to offer, and is always up for an amazing coffee and tasty treat when out and about.
Rebekah loves visiting her family and loved ones in Whanganui, where she was born and raised, as often as she can.
Originally from Warkworth, Angela is all things business with a spot of humour thrown in!
Angela has brought with her many years’ experience in corporate finance, as well as her bubbly personality and a can-do attitude, making her a great addition to the Eden Orthodontics family.
Angela was drawn to the role because of the cohesive team environment where she can add value by looking at business process improvement through reporting and analysis. Having a part time role out of a large corporate enables a better work/life balance.
When Angela isn’t chasing after her two boys, she is baking for the GBB charity who deliver baked goods to the community. She takes some time for herself by doing reformer Pilates or holidaying in Mt Maunganui at the family bach.
